Questions to ask a water treatment company:

• Experience– How many years does the individual or company have in the field? How long has he been in your geographic area. Water varies in different parts of the country. Surface water changes with the seasons and groundwater varies over long range (7 year) hydraulic patterns. Experience with the local water is a plus. Ten years experience is a good minimum.
  

• Certification- Is the water treater a Certified Water Technologist (CWT)? The CWT designation, the highest standard and only professional credential available to water treaters, ensures the water treater has passed a rigorous exam, the scrutiny of a peer review, and signed an extensive code of ethics.

• Education –  If the individual is not a CWT, do they have significant education in the field? Do they have a degree in chemistry or can they demonstrate attendance at industry seminars?
